The Bar to Bar, or Barbaresco – Barolo, is a circular route with 7 stages that crosses a large portion of the Langhe Roero territory. It winds through low-traffic roads, white roads, forests, and terraced vineyards, offering unique views and unusual perspectives.
The route passes through villages and vineyards, blending history and nature, and offers the option to choose between a shorter or longer path, designed for both hiking and off-road cycling, which can be tackled in either direction.
The short loop starts from Barbaresco, passes through Alba, then follows the Tanaro River before climbing into the Barolo area via Roddi – Verduno – La Morra, and finally reaching Barolo. The long loop, however, starts from Barbaresco, passes through Neive and Treiso, then ventures into the Alta Langa region among Fenogliani’s landscapes, descends into the Belbo Valley, climbs back up to the Passo della Bossola, and then returns along the main ridge of the Langhe towards the Tanaro Valley. From there, the route continues through Bossolasco – Serravalle – Roddino, reaching Serralunga and Monforte, followed by Novello and Barolo. An alternative route from Serralunga to Castiglione Falletto – Monforte is also available.
